Why are the fonts showing up differently in each of these blocks?

We were given a new version of this dynamic block to use and the users are not happy with the appearance of the font in the new block.  

I have tried to find the difference in properties, font, etc. between the text in the old and new blocks, but I have not been able to find what's causing the 'serif' style font in the new one.

The users prefer the simpler 'sans serif' appearance of the old block.
