Text orientation on rotate

Can someone help me with the text orientation of this block that I created? I want to be able to incrementally move the tail by 90 degrees while maintaining the text orientation as followed in my picture I attached. I have attached the block so that you can see how it polar stretches and rotates.

If it was multiline text it would be easier as the justification for multiline text always flips, so you can be sure that your text will not go over the line.

I really only need single line but is there a way around this? (Hiding part of the multiline text)

It can still be a single line of text even though its a multiline text object type.

You can cheat by using a dimension, and replace the contents with a field.
