Table with numbers or letters increase or decrease value in AutoCAD

I would like to create a table where the number increases or decreases as you add or delete rows. the Diamond shape is a block.

I have attached a screenshot of a table that I'm working on.

I'm using AutoCAD LT 2018.1.1

You can place a formula in a cell by highlighting a cell into edit mode and from the edit bar look for fx and choose formula if you first just place the number 1 in the first cell then in second row choose formula pick "cell2" which will let you choose cell 1 then just add +1 to the end. You can highlight this cell again and drag it down as you would in excel. If you insert a row it won't be automatic but highlight the cell above the new row and drag it down.

I just spotted an error in the above reply and can't edit it, "cell2" should read "cell" and refers to this

I accidently forgot to press the shift key+2 to get at the quote mark and didn't fix it correctly when proof reading.

Does this work with a block?

The table is in a dwg format plus I attached the Demo Tag.

Hi @Anonymous,

This is an excellent question to post over in our Dynamic Blocks forum, which is dedicated to creating custom objects like this. I'm not sure if you can do this with a table, but if it's possible, somebody in that forum will be able to help.

I'll move your post over there to see if anyone in that forum can help.
