Stretch in ANY/EVERY direction?

Hello folks.  Is it possible to have a line with one end fixed, and a grip at the other end that would stretch the line in any direction?  I'm picturing something like the combined action of a rotate and a stretch.  I see lots of posts/answers about stretching in two directions at once (which I know how to do) but I'd like something where the grip end is totally free to go anywhere.  Basically I want a line in the block to act exactly like how the grip would make the line behave if it were in Model Space. Thoughts?  THANK YOU!

Sure.  Use a point parameter and stretch action.  See screencast.

Wow, okay, that was simple.  I didn't realize the Stretch Action would act so differently based on what sort of Parameter it was attached to.  thanks!
