Is this infinite enough for you?

You can actually get it down to a single linear parameter and a single increment along with making it a more accurate representation (threads would bind on the flat edge shown previously).  😛

If you want it limited to 1", then the first screencast I posted should be exactly what you are looking for.

hi Libya,

I am trying to make threaded rod as you suggested but I am getting difficulty for 1-1/4" thick one. I'll attach the file please look at it, u will understand what is the difficulty.

The 1-1/4" size will not array correctly because of a rounding error.  You can't see the rounding error until you set the luprec system variable higher.  See screencast.

Hi Libbya,

I have set the luprec variable up to 8 but again I am getting the same problem with 1/2" thickness. I have attached the file please look into it.

Here you go.  It's a good rule of thumb to always use the little quickcalc dialog for setting specific increments and array column offsets and use the 'Apply' button.  The main issue, though, was that the linear parameter associated with the array was not set to be chained.
