Hi,

Once you remove the grips of both the distance parameter it would reset back to the original form. May I ask why you want to remove the grips of the blocks? Are you trying to convert the dynamic block to a static block? If yes, then here is a lisp which would do that(see attachment).

Load the lisp using "APPLOAD" and then type in the command "DB2SB" and then select the block which you want to convert to static block. Note that the block will get renamed to an anonymous name like "*U**"

Resetting the block will reset it back to its default, as-drawn state.  That is what it means to reset the block.  There is no way for the block to be reset and keep a dynamically altered parameter value.  The number of grips has no bearing on that.

Thanks man, DB2SB works fine for me. The block name remained same :). I had to do several blocks with different dimensions so I made dynamic block(then DB2SB) just to be faster in future.

Hi, i am trying to use db2sb too...but i cant seem to find the static dwg file.
Should i insert the dynamic block in the current drawing file and then run db2sb command ... or is there some other way??
I inserted it into a drawing file that was open and selected it after calling db2sb... but I can't find the static file ..

Please help...
