Need Guidance on how to successfully Recreate an Existing Hatch

I have a dynamic block with numerous visstates, some of which include hatch fill.

I have had to modify the block and as a result the existing hatch patterns no longer seem to be associated with the initial boundaries.

I have tried to recreate the hatch with no success.  The pattern is visible but when the boundary is stretched the pattern does not adjust.

Can anyone offer some guidance on how to recreate hatch fill through the hatch edition context ribbon menu WITHOUT simply erasing the hatch and starting over?

Thanks in Advance

A bit more background info. . .

I can get the hatch to attach to the existing boundary BUT when I indicate that it is to be associated to the boundary it creates a duplicate boundary of the objects selected to create the boundary.

I would like to use the existing objects as the boundary for the existing hatch pattern.  Basically I want to re-associate the existing hatch pattern to the existing polygon boundary objects.

I am withdrawing this request as it will be a waste of folks' time.  The block is quite polluted with duplicate objects from the block editor duplication bug.  It will be easier to recreate the block.

For those of you who are curious, I have attached the block, but I am re-creating it from the ground up.

Thanks
