Missing Parameters after Dynamic block save as

I need to copy a block and all of its parameters to create a similar but distinct dynamic block that I can edit. I insert the block I want to copy into a blank drawing, open the block editor and do save block as and give it a new name. When I insert the block with the new name back into the drawing and enter the block editor all of the parameters are blank. Does anyone know if I am missing something?

I don’t have an answer as to why it’s losing them.

Not at a machine to try it right now, but may I suggest pasting the block into a blank dwg, RENAME it (as opposed to saveas).  Hopefully all and your Params survive.  If it works, you’re golden.

That worked like a charm! Thank you so much. The block is very complex (I suspect this somehow contributed to the save as issue) so you have saved me a lot of time.
