How to make Dynamic Block Scale like Annotative Block

Hi all!

So recently I came up with an electrical symbol block that has all the receptacles we use on our electrical plans in different visibility states and with grips to move the text around.

The issue I'm having now is that I made these blocks for a 1/4" scale drawing. But sometimes scales and drawing sizes change.

I would love to have this block (&text) be the same size in different viewport scales just like an annotative block but I don't know how to do this with all the attributes and dynamic actions can anyone help?

Thank you!

Seems like the simplest solution would be to make the block annotative.

Always appreciate your help Libbya!

Assume that I work in a cave with a hammer and chisel. the office does things in a painfully antiquated way.

Using annotative objects is new for me but I want to learn.

On my screen grabs below I did follow your video but I need some more clarity.

I'm looking for help on having it stay the 1/4" size or uniform in other scales in viewports on paper space

Do I have to add the annotative scale in properties? I added 3/16 but then it change the block to be huge as you see below.

Thanks!

If you set the block editor annotative scale to 1:1 and make sure the linework is all drawn the size you would like it to appear on the sheet, then if the block is annotative, it will be the same correct size for all scales.  If the linework in block editor is drawn the size you would like it to be in 1/4"=1'-0" scale and you make it annotative, then indeed it will be 48X as big as it should be.
