Flip objects, keep text orientation the same

I have a dynamic block of a detail call-out, with text attributes.

If the block is flipped, the text attributes end up the wrong way around. In the attached image, the top is a flipped version of the bottom. At the top, "#" should be above the "-", and the "NOTE" should be above.

So far I've considered:

1. Using visibility states instead of flipping. However the issue is that attributes cannot be copied and pasted.

2. Referring to another example which uses lookups, see link below, the issue is again that attributes cannot be copied and pasted.

https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/dynamic-blocks-forum/rotating-flipping-text-in-dynamic-block/td-p/578...

Is there a solution for this?

Try take a look at attached - added a move and a rotation parameter with chain actions and without grips, and included the move and rotation in the flip action without the text.

Thanks for resolving.

I wasn't able to open your drawing as it came up with a message to open in Block Editor, etc.

I followed your work in my drawing, and it seems to be all good.

I was progressing with something else but that was messy, this is a lot simpler.

Cheers.

Sorry but I actually didn't quite get this one to work.

I'm having issues with the rotation actions/parameters. I did try as suggested with a chain action and without grips. But when flipping, I couldn't get it to work. My understanding of "chain actions" is that whatever is done to the chain action parameter, follows through, right? It seems to work with the point parameter but not with the rotation parameter.

The attached drawing does not have a rotation parameter in there at the moment.

The issue is with flipping about the vertical. The side notes, Test-1 & Test-2 are on the wrong side, see attached image.

In that case, you must either have done something wrong, else, I misunderstood how it needs to work, because I managed to make it work like this 🙂

Also, I saved the block through the Block Editor, so when you want to open it, either open it in Block Editor, or use Insert to insert it to your drawing.

Sorry but I may have changed the criteria for the location of "NOTE". See attached image.

But either way, I couldn't get any to work. I was mistaken when I thought I had your original solution working.

I assume the above is based on your solution at Message 2.

There was also the issue of moving the circular portion with attributes. When moved and then flipped, the attributes would not be inside the circle.

Apologies, but I didn't read the part about inserting from the Block Editor.

The attached is based of your solution and is correct now ... except that I can't seem to make it work using the same analogy on the drawing I had progressed with. There must be something I haven't picked up.

Your solution does work, I need to sort out the details on my end.

Thanks for assisting.
