Embed Dimensions within Text

Hi, not sure if this is possible within AutoCAD but thought it was worth asking. Not quite sure how to describe it either but I wanted to know if there is a way of embedding dimensions within leader notes or referring to them within other dimensions.

An example of what I'm trying to achieve below; I'm trying to use the value Y within my larger overall dimension and I want it to change automatically when the value of Y changes.

Hope this makes sense; gladly appreciate any help on this topic 🙂

Check the attached drawing.

The larger dimension has a field in it which references the smaller dimension. You need to do a regen for the number to update

Thank you, this seems to be what I'm looking for however, would there be a step-by-step guide as to set this up?

(I'm more of a beginner at AutoCAD).

Have a look at the attached video. After selecting the 40 dimension and going in to edit the text and putting a space after it you need to do a right click to get the menu up which appears
