Dynamic Scale Bar Block Linked To Viewport Scales? Scale bars different designs

Hi,

I have a dynamic scale bar with visibility states, with scales ranging from 1:10 up to 1:2000. The bars are all the same length but have slightly different designs due to the range of scales, so some have six equal measurements and some have seven. 

So my 1:10 scale bar shows marks at 0mm, 200mm, 400mm, 600mm, 800mm and 1m - six measurements.

My 1:20 scale bar shows marks at 0mm, 200mm, 400mm, 600mm, 800mm, 1m and then another at 2m - seven measurements.

Because they are different designs, is it possible to link the block and visibility states to a viewport's scale? I know fields can be used to update the numbers but in this case the design of the block is changing so I can't just update the numbers.

Unless someone can program it with lisp, it can't be done. A field inside a block cannot reference an item outside a block.
