Dynamic Block, Stretch + Array, challenge

When I configure this block, pictures inserted below, the cutout i want to setup to array as the block is stretched. I can get that to work no issues. however the array only happen once the stretch has reached a certain distance, picture 2 below. I combatted this by breaking up the horizontal line in the shape that I want to array, picture 1 below, and then setting distances for each portion of the object and setting them to array properly. so the block now stretches and builds like I wanted. Issue now is the Dist maximum under the Value Set is different for each of the arrayed distances and if the block is stretched to its limit all of the Grips aren't together anymore and its a mess to shorten the block back. is there a better way to do this? or do i just need to get all of my Dist maximum values set perfectly so the Grips stay together at all times?

well, i seemingly have solved my issue by adding Chaining Actions to the array components and then removing the Grips. I still had to offset the origins to get it to space properly, but i think i have accomplished what it is i set out to do.

any easier way of doing this? im curious.

Please post your block (dwg) what you have until now and show us some examples what you want to get (the expected results).

Additional question: Do you want to stretch only the length of the block (Distance1) or do you need to be able to change other values too?
