Dynamic Block Align command.

I’ve been having a problem with a block that I made, especially with the Align command.

This is the block in question. I use it to label the cable types in my project. The issue is that it keeps moving around the line, and I want to stop it—specifically, to prevent it from flipping upside-down. Is this possible? If so, how?

Instead of "dancing" around the line, I want it to be only like the following image

Hi,

Since you have two grips aligns block:

  • You will get a different result depending on which grip you select.
  • You will get your exact position if you catch it from the bottom and your cursor - some how - come from the above of the line. It's sensitive grip and you have to be patient while selecting your new location.
  • see in below image the last attempt how when i came from below i get a negative result.

That's how align parameters work.  They rotate the entire block.  Approach the line from the side you want the block located.

If you find that annoying (I sure do) it's better to use a point and a separate rotate action IMO.
You can also increase the APERTURE system variable (0-50, default is 10) to make it easier to work with.
