Dyn blocks with contraints

Hey all,

I have not been able to find any good tutorials on using constraints with a dynamic block.

My goal is to create my own block for stairs that can stretch to different heights while automatically adjusting the tread heights to remain equal, and not to exceed 7 3/4".  All while maintaining a 10" tread depth.

Can someone please link me or point me in the right direction on how to structure this block?

Thank you!

If the following video shows what you roughly want to achieve.

(view in My Videos)

then (I think) there is no chance to get that in an AutoCAD's Dynamic Block.

If I misunderstood your request let us know please.

That's almost exactly what I'm looking for except I need to restrict the max tread height to 7 3/4 per code.

The idea is that once the tread height exceeds 7 3/4", it would create another step and divide all those steps equally.

That is mathematically impossible, if you always want to maintain a 10" tread depth and free choose the angle.
