Cannot View Attribute Text Outside of Block Editor

Hello, 

I am having trouble getting my lookup parameter to display properly after I have exited block editor. My aim is to create a revision block that allows me to use a predetermined set of callouts without having to type them in each time. I created an attribute and then linked the attribute to a lookup parameter, using the "BlockPlaceholder" field property. When I test it in the test block, it seems to work as I intended, however, once I exit the block editor, the field does not appear. The drop-down appears but the text doesn't. See below for an illustration of the problem.

Why two identical threads?  As I just posted in the other one... ATTSYNC, dynamic action, REGEN?  Post block file.

Apologies. I am new to this forum. I thought I accidentally deleted the
initial thread I sent.

As posted in the other thread, the attribute value in the existing block is blank.  Delete that insertion and insert the block again.  The attribute field will then show up fine.
