While there isn't a direct integration between Bigscreen Beyond and AutoCAD, there are a couple of ways you might be able to leverage them together depending on your workflow:

Scenario 1: Viewing and Collaboration:

  • Export from AutoCAD: If you want to view and potentially collaborate on your AutoCAD designs in a large-scale immersive environment, you can export your designs from AutoCAD into formats compatible with Bigscreen Beyond. Here are some options:
    • FBX: This format can preserve 3D geometry and potentially textures from your AutoCAD model.
    • OBJ: Another option for exporting 3D geometry, but might have limitations with textures.
    • Images (Large Layouts): Export large, high-resolution images of your AutoCAD layouts for viewing in Bigscreen Beyond.

Bigscreen Beyond Functionality:

  • Import and Viewing: Import the exported files (FBX, OBJ, or images) into Bigscreen Beyond. You can then view your AutoCAD designs in a large immersive space, potentially collaborating with others in real-time.

Limitations:

  • This approach focuses on viewing and collaboration, not directly working within the AutoCAD environment in Bigscreen Beyond.
  • Depending on the complexity of your AutoCAD model, exporting and importing processes might require some optimization.

Scenario 2: External Reference Integration (Advanced):

  • External References in AutoCAD: If your AutoCAD workflow involves using external references (Xrefs) that link to other AutoCAD drawings, Bigscreen Beyond might not be directly compatible for managing these references within its environment.

Alternative Approach:

  • VR Collaboration Platforms: Consider exploring VR collaboration platforms specifically designed for AEC (Architecture, Engineering, Construction) workflows. These platforms might offer better integration with AutoCAD features and functionalities for working with models in a collaborative VR environment.

Here are some additional resources that you might find helpful:

  • Bigscreen Beyond Documentation: https://www.bigscreenvr.com/mybeyond (if available)
  • AutoCAD Export Options: Search for documentation on AutoCAD's export capabilities for formats like FBX and OBJ.
  • VR Collaboration Platforms for AEC: Research VR platforms like "VRdirect", "IrisVR Prospect", or "CoSpaces" that cater to AEC workflows and potentially offer better integration with AutoCAD.

By understanding the limitations and exploring alternative approaches, you can determine the best way to leverage Bigscreen Beyond alongside your AutoCAD workflow.

it's more of a question for someone who uses this VR mainly for multiple screens and works with some Autodesk program.

What are you wanting to know exactly?
Do you have access to that now?
what challenges are you facing?
How do you wish to use them together?
What are your expectations?

Or is this a just a general curiosity type post in an irrelevant forum for the topic?

FYI vague generic one-line posts tend to get passed by since you got a reply that is very detailed about known issues and challenges that you seem to have dismissed for some reason.

No, I don't own this VR now, but I'm thinking about buying it. Therefore, I want to know if anyone use it when drawing in AutoCAD and if the display of the program on the virtual screens is satisfactory and can be used for long term work in autocad.

And where is the best place to ask if not here on the AutoCAD forum?
