Automatically stretching a dynamic block to match attribute text

Hi,

Is there a way to automatically stretch a dynamic block to match the attribute text inside it? I have a slot shaped block and would like to have it shrink or expand automatically with the length of the attribute text inside it. I can do it manually with a stretch action. But I was hoping there is a way to do this automatically.

Thanks

Maybe using of parametric constraints and dimensions can be helpful you to solve the problem. You should tell us what you ultimately want to do and achieve.

Basically I have a slot shaped block with attribute text in the middle of it. I need the block to shrink and expand so it fits the text inside at all times it would be sort of like a text box except with rounded ends and I am ultimately pulling the attributes into an excel spreadsheet. I guess I could use reactors to do this but I was hoping there was a simple way using dynamic blocks.

Thanks for your response

This block has what you need.

Use a dimension and remove the arrows and lines so that only the text shows. Do this by using the properties window. Then you can use a stretch action on the dimension to adjust with your block size.

The block attached uses a polar stretch action rather than a stretch action.

That's not what they asked for.  They asked for a box that automatically adjusts size when the attribute text length is changed.  What you show is a box that can be adjusted in size and text that moves to keep centered.
