Array an object within a rectangle

I fear I'm having a senior moment...

I want to array a circle within a dynamic rectangle, so as the rectangle stretches, more circles appear.

I can make the array, or I can make the stretchy rectangle, but either I don't know, or can't remember, how to do both.

Help!

Use an XY parameter for the array.  Post your block if you need further assistance.

Can I not use the XY for the rectangle too?

Maybe.  Post your block with details on how you want it to work and I'll be more able to offer an opinion.

Here's a version that uses scale instead of stretch, so it works when the shape is uniform (i.e. square), but obviously goes awry with other non-uniform rectangles. The real problem is slighlty more complex, but I think if I could get this basoc geometry to work, that would be a useful start.

I figured it out, when using the stretch action, I had 'XY' as my distance type instead of just X or just Y. Fixed that now, and everything works as it should.

Attached is a working version (I lied about the circles - they were really squares - sorry)
