A dynamic block capable of linking text and drop-downs to an embedded Excel file

Hello all,

I'm trying to create a dynamic block that is capable of linking text and drop-downs to an embedded Excel file. Although I've shown a very simple example in the attached file (4 x 10 = 40), I cant simply use AutoCAD formulas as the actual Excel sheet I want to use is very complex and contains lots of data.

Essentially what I would like to be able to do is:

- Click on the dynamic block

- Select from drop-down menus and select values (2, 4 or 6 in the first one and 5, 10 and 15 in the second)

- These selected values would be recognised in the Excel table, which then performs calculations.

- The final output generated by the Excel formula would then be shown in the block as text.

- Ideally everything would be updated automatically whenever the drop down selections are changed without having to regenerate or apply a command.

I've seen things that seem very similar but I really need the file embedded and would prefer not to use LISP unless everything can be sent as one file and used by anyone without having to set anything up.

If anyone has any advice or can confirm that this cant be done it would much appreciated! Thanks guys.

Sam
