silent publish PDF

Hi,

Thank the help from Unattended DWG plotting and PDF publishing without AutoCAD. I just got the run PUBLISH in a script of DWG TrueView to generate PDF file. it works file.

Here is something I like to solve

1. when I run the bat:

"C:\Program Files\Autodesk\DWG TrueView 2015 - English\dwgviewr.exe" "c:\drawings\ sample.dwg" /b "c:\scripts\plotPDF.scr" /nologo

it will show DWG TrueView window and close it when it done. is there anyway I can hide it, like run it in command only mode?

2. when PDF is created, it will be open in Acrobat Reader. how I can turn it off?

3. Is there a log so I can troubleshooting if something wrong?

Thanks

Wes

If you invoke the EXE file from a script (Windows script/batch file, not AutoCAD script), there are ways to launch an application in a minimized state. (Not tested for this case.)

Opening the PDF after publishing can be controlled through an option in your .pc3 file. And Plot LOGs in the Options.

Hi vladimir.michl:

I tried

start /MIN "C:\Program Files\Autodesk\DWG TrueView 2015 - English\dwgviewr.exe" "c:\drawings\ sample.dwg" /b "c:\scripts\plotPDF.scr" /nologo

It would just start TrueViewer, window popup, then stop there, no PDF puglished.

about opening PDF after publishing, beside pc3 file I found there is another place, in DSD file, [SheetSet Properties], ViewFile=FALSE

I tried both, still 1 pdf opened.

right now I tested with bat file. at the end I will move all to .net exe file

Any idea?

Thanks

Wes
