DWG TrueView 2017 does not launch

Hi,

I just installed DWG Trueview 2017, but it doesn't work.

I double click the icon but the program does not launch, and there is no error message jumped out.

I unstand there are some similar posts in the comuunity forum, and I have tried:
1) un-install/re-install the package, after modify the WIN registry editor correctly.2) add /nohardware in the end of the command to launch the software.

but neither of them works.

Note that I have also tried to install this tool on two different computer, but I still cannot launch it.

I wonder if there is someone who has met this issue recently, and has some brilliant way to solve the problems.

Cheers,

Nai-Yuan

Windows version?
Did you restart the PC yet?

What does the Windows System Monitor report as going on in the background?

Hi Pendean,

Thanks a lot for your reponse.

I am using Window 7.

I did restart the PC several times, but the problem still exists.

Do you mean Performance Monitoring? I tried the tool but it seems nothing wrong.

The usage of processors/memory does not change much when I launch the TrueView application.

Additionally, from Windows Task Manager, I can see dwgviewr.exe appears as soon as I double clilk the trueview icon.

However it disappears without any error message, after 1 or 2 seconds.

Thanks,

Nai-Yuan

Do d

Hi Pendean,

Have you had any luck in launching DWG Trueview??

I am running W8.1 and having same problems as you list. There was no systems criteria listed for the app before I downloaded. I have a few older plans I want to print so I might have to find someone with ACad who will hard copy them for me.

Select the shortcut for DTV2017, right-click over it and select RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR: does it?

Also try this if the above fails to start it up https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/331796/perform-a-clean-startup-to-determine-whether-backgro...

Thanks,  The problem has gone away.  I think I uninstall DTV 2015 after installing 2018.  I think I cleared it up by going to uninstall, selecting repair and then rebooting.
