AutoCAD Student Version

Hello, i have the 3 year student license for AutoCAD 2017 and I am not able to draw in 3D I want to know what the issue is and why the product will not allow 3D drawing. For instance the "extrude" command comes up as an "unknown command" and I am also not able to use my 3D pan by holding shift and my mouse roller.
