Has anyone had he situation where having a .dwg open in trueview, means its only openable as read only in acad?

We loaded true view, so the girls on the office can open drawings to look for information.

But have now noticed, that when i try to open the file to work on it; it is read only.

Read-only tags come from the PC's OS or the Server OS, tag means the files are still open usually: discuss the problem with an IT professional, they need to observe your problem and wishes at all of your PCs.

That is not normal behavior. Trueview should be opening the file as read-only which means the O/S will not put a WRITE lock on the file. I just confirmed this with a test.
