dwg converter

I am new to dwg trueview.  I have opened up a cad drawing from CAD details, and I want to convert this to a 2004 dwg.  I see up in the upper left tool bar, there is a button to convert, and I also see the different versions one can convert to.  What I cannot figure out, is how to add the cad drawing I just opened to the window, that says add files.  The button is inactive at the bottom that says convert, probably because I cannot add the file in the first place.

I work on a very old and archaic cad system, called AutoSketch 10.  This is what I use, and it works for me.  I cannot at dwg drawings from others, unless it is usually a 2007 or older.  In this case, I want to convert a cad detail, save it as a 2004, or 2007, in which case, I can open it with Autosketch 10.

Thank you

I tried to do a conversion again, and actually the "add file" tab does work.  It will take me to my desktop.  I have added a screen shot of what I am trying to do.  I got this dwg from CAD Details, and it automatically loaded it into DWG Converter.  Perhaps this needs to be saved to my Desktop, but it automatically loaded it up into DWG True.  So, this is the file I want to convert to a 2004 or 2007, than save it on my desktop.

Thanks so much.

I am still trying to be able to download .dwg files.  I have been on a site called CAD details, and when I click on .dwg I want, it automatically opens it up in trueview.  I cannot figure out how to convert it to a .dwg 2007 file, while it is open in true view.  I think I can get this to work, if I could save these files on my desktop to begin with, than I could "add this file" to true view, and do the conversion.  Here are a couple of messages I got trying to download this cad drawing.

Any help would be appreciated.  I need to save my files in a 2007 or older format, since I am working with a very old CAD system called Autosketch 10.

THank you.

Always do that.

Your webbrowser is set to default to open the file after download most likely, turn it off, or just change the download location in your webbrowser to always be at your desktop if you cannot find these auto downloaded files in your DOWNLOADS folder C:\Users\YOURLOGINNAMEHERE\Downloads

You can opt for another method if you find the best DWG. Try DRS AutoCAD DWG Converter Tool.
