PLOTTER DRIVER NOT WORKING IN AUTOCAD 2006

Hello everyone!

I have an issue in Autocad 2006. I open a .dwg file and I'm trying to convert it into pdf. I enter the "Plot" command and I get the error "<printer name.pc3>: This plotter configuration cannot be used for one of these reasons: the driver cannot be found, the device cannot be found, or the driver has a problem. The None plot device has been substituted.". Unfortunately, problems have come up:

1. Depending on the dwg file I'm using, it asks me for a different printer name every time, e.g. one file is asking for "mutoh rj-900caa", another for "xeroh global print driver PCL6".
2. I downloaded CutePDF Writer and I use that (orCutePDF Writer.pc3, not sure if it's any different) in the printer/plotter name area. While it worked in one single dwg, in all others appears nothing! I have tried different combinations of paper size, along with window in the what to plot area, but in the best case it shows the 10% of the drawing.

Please, I'm in desperate need of help!

And you can to the DWF forum to ask about AutoCAD? why?

AutoCAD basics:
1. The printer to use is saved and defined only in the file, and each tab in each file can be different. Your system settings are always ignored, your installed printers are always ignored. That seems to be what you are describing. That';s how the program works.
2. Are you perhaps just not selecting the correct PLOT parameters? Use the PREVIEW button to always check before you click that OK button.

Thank you very much for your help! I thought it could be a matter of scale, so I ticked the option "Fit in the paper" and voila! I'll keep in mind your advice, thank you once again! PS: I didn't know where else to post such a problem, so I picked DWF. Next time, more searching...
