Scale problem with DWG import.

I imported a DWG file and all seemed ok untill I tried to make a sketch, the sketch sizes are 10x to big.

Measure show 196mm, distance between points in sketch 1960mm!

I uploaded the DWG file via the data panel. Upon opening the desing I was not observe the 10x scaling issue. I've tested measuring the straight edges of the cubes, vertices, sketch points. Are there any other steps or something I'm overlooking?

What are the default units for new design set at in the Design panel of Preferences?

Thanks in advance for your help!

I think I've found the problem, you need to activate a component then make a sketch. Here's a screen grab one dimension is drawn in the top level the second in one of the components, this one is 10x to big.

Thanks Mark.

Thank you for the update and for capturing this information! I've confirmed that I can reproduce the issue as well and forwarded it to development for further investigation via report FUS-18881.

Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

Kind Regards,

Hello there,

I am having the same problem. I jus uploaded a DWG created in AUTOCAD and the sketch is 10 x bigger. (see screenshot. the radius of the circle should have been 6 mm) Did you reach a resolution on this  issue already? Soory ,i cannot find the answer.

Thanks!

Can you attach a sample DWG file please, I think the last time I tried it worked OK.

Just done some more testing and it looks like the bug is still there.

In this image I've open a sketch created by the import, using the Measure Tool it says the circle is 91.225mm but if I draw another circle in the same sketch about the same size when I dimension it it shows 910.0mm 10 times too big! How you can have 2 circles in one sketch the look that same size but one is 10 times bigger I don't know.

It gets even stranger selecting the 910.0mm circle and measuring it the Measure tool reports 91.0mm!

I'm tentatively optimistic that the fix for this will make it into this weekend's update. It may be worthwhile to revisit this on Monday.

Thanks,

Can you share that DWG file here?

Thanks,

Here's the file, it uses blocks so that when it's imported into Fusion the blocks become components. The sketches in the components are where the problem is.

@HughesTooling, thanks for checking it!

Our team members worked and resolved it, but unfortunately we need more time for testing it, so it hasn't been included in current latest release. But it should be in next major release (about 2 months later). Please let us know if you have any comments or any other related issue about import dwg, thanks!
