Rogue Surface or Face

Hi

I have a rogue surface appear when I combine bodies. Same thing happens if I do an extrude join. I have moved faces to create an overlap prior to combining. Same thing. The images are before and after the combine. I have now developed the design considerably but I need it gone before I present it. Help!

Thanks for replying. How can I share without making the link, and therefore the product, visible to all reading this thread? Of course I may have the way sharing works wrong?
