I have a project of an aircraft Control Wheel, a Piper Archer.
However I can seem to get the Joint to work properly.
I want the Control Shaft Component to slide through the Panel mount Component as well as rotate inside of it
But I cant seem to have both, only one at a time
Use a cylindrical joint. It allows both rotation and translation.

Ray L.
Your file in A360 doesn't show me the joints, will download it bit later,
quick question, when you made the joint to the shaft - bearing, was it Cylindrical, if not, that's the right one,
If it is cylindrical the preview animation was correct, then you need to set the move limits for slide and revolve, there is a limits dialogue box, but it only shows one option at a time, you have to select at the top, both directions, otherwise you will get what I think you are seeing.
Might help,
Thank you for your time.
I now cant seem to get the sleeve Bearing to work. I need the Outer Component move with the rest but not to rotate
rigid but not rotate with the rest
Light bulbs are your friend,
Rigid joint the outer shaft to the face plate, I turned off the shaft to see the bearing plate centre icon.
Use Cntl / Cmd keys when you get close during selections for the joint origins.
