Maybe this is an issue, normaly it should stay in place as long as you let your cursor on the tool

Great response @odolyte

@Anonymous, the tooltips will remain expanded for you to read as long as your cursor is still hovering over the command. It's only after you move your cursor off the feature that the tooltip then goes away.

Please let us know if you need any other help getting started - welcome to Fusion 360!

I am having the same issue, I go into preferences and "show tool tips" is checked.  Any other suggestions?  As soon as i mouse over something it pops up and disappears just as fast. Not moving the cursor at all after putting my mouse over it.

Welcome to the Fusion 360 community!

In some previous Inventor cases, I have had success fixing the tool tips by updating Flash. However, I don't think Fusion 360 is using the same components for the tool tips. The tool tip disappearing as you describe is not the desired experience. On my system, the tool tip will stay there as long as I don't move the mouse.  Is there a background process like anti-virus software or a peripheral device like a 3D Space Mouse that could be impacting this behavior?

I hope this helps!

Thanks,

It started working randomly a few days later. I don't have the slightest
clue what was up with it. But thanks for getting back to me!
