  Hi,

yesterday I updated fusion to the newest update and after it crashed on me 3 times the gesture navigation stopped working.

I tried to toggle it on and off in the preferences but still no luck 😞

any ideas?

I am running a Lenovo P40 Nvidia Quadro M550.

             thanks

Hi,

Welcome to the Fusion forum.

We found a bug with gesture navigation on Windows devices which results in pan/zoom/tumble gestures not working in the latest Fusion update. We did not have time to fix it before this update.

I apologize for the inconvenience and we are working to get this fixed for the next possible update in mid December. If we do any updates before then it might get fixed in those.

Did you send in CER reports for your crashes?

Thanks,

ok. good to know. So I be back with the space navigator then 😉

Are the CER reports the automatic pop ups? then yes I send them with a little explanation. It was strange since it mostly happened when I wanted to switch between modeling modes. Like from surface modeling to solid.

 cheers

Thanks again.

I managed to find one of your CER reports. It looks like a graphics issue.

While we are working on this one, if you keep crashing on workspace switching, please try this: go to Preferences > Graphics, and force Fusion to use DX9 or DX11, instead of "automatically select". This is just a shot in the dark, but worth a try because of the way you are crashing.

Thanks,

I actually had the same idea as well. And I also have some issues with the Memory management of Windows 10. Since when I have some chrome browsers open fusion gets into trouble ones in a  while as well. But I will try it. In the meanwhile I updated all drivers. Since also the space navigator was not working properly from the start but with the update its back to fluent again.

Doh.

There is another thing you should know about 3D Connexion, which we are also planning to fix soon, and it's that on Windows the spacemouse becomes focused on the data panel and not the Fusion modeling window. This happens when you open designs.

Details here:

http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/design-validate-document/3d-connexion-space-navigator-not-working-afte...

If you are using 3D Connexion, and you open a file, mouse to the top of the browser node, where the design name is, and select it with a LMB mouse click. This puts focus back into Fusion and spacemouse will work normally.

Thanks and sorry for the trouble. You got it twice this time. We'll do better.
