Fusion crashes in CAM everytime I try to select a tool

Trying to create a toolpath in Fusion CAM, which worked fine for a while, but now everytime I select a tool (as in: I press the [tool] button), Fusion crashes. I've submitted maybe 10 crash reports (I tried various things; changing the tool of an existing op --crash; uninstall/reinstall Fusion --crash; etc.). I'm at my wits' end.

I should mention that I tried just bringing the model into Inventor to do the CAM, and now Inventor crashes as well at the same point. A week ago it worked fine.

Hi,

Could this be file-specific? Does it happen with all files or only certain ones?

Can you open the file, export it to a new name, open the exported design and see if it fails?

Also, can you try exporting to a different format and re-uploading, open, and see if it fails?

Additionally, do files in other projects open/get changed successfully?

If it's all files, then what could have changed on your system (updates?, AV install/upgrade?, system changes?)?

Finally, can you send us your log files to analyze? You can generate these by going to the Help Menu > Diagnostic Files.

I'm having the same problem. Yesterday there was an automatic update, today --- crash!

I'll send log files if you will tell me where to send them!

Hi Paul,

Sorry to hear of your trouble. You can attach the log files here.

To prepare the log files go into Fusion, click on the Help menu (?), and select Diagnostic Log Files. This will gather all your log files and create a ZIP file for easier upload.

I am sending this again. Gmail reported a problem the first time and I am
not sure if it got sent or not.
