File that was good now has many problems all of a sudden

I have a Project file with no X-Refs that has a few errors that were not there the last time I had the file open.  When I did a Compute All two sketches developed problems and when I try to Generate tool paths on a Set Up I get several "Error: Internal CAM kernel error. Please report through your support channel." One thing to note perhaps is that I had the Time Line marker set very early in it when I closed the file the last time.  I opened two other Project files that are similar and saved last around the time as the problem file and they were all fine so the problem seems to be limited to the one Project file.

I would be happy to email the file to someone but don't want to post it openly here.  I am not in a hurry but am curious to find out what the problem is.  If I just need to fix all of the problems then that shouldn't be too much work.

Sure, which kind?  Invite to the Project or archive file?

Thanks for the design, I was able to take a look at the design, but I was not able to determine the series of steps taken to get the design into its current state.

For Sketch1 and Sketch 7, all you need to do is edit the sketch. In the sketch, you'll note that there is yellow geometry in the sketch. The color indicates that these sketch entities were projected into the sketch from other geometry but has not lost association to the source geometry. You can solve the issue by right clicking on the highlighted sketch geometry and selecting break link.

In the CAM side of things, I notice a lot of operations seem to have lost reference to geometry as well. I note that several of the 2D Contour operations located in setup labeled Parts, have nothing selected for the Contour Selections in the Geometry tab.

This indicates to me that these issues appeared after an update to the a component's model geometry. I imagine that saving before rolling the timeline forward may have allowed some errors to go undetected until the next time the design was open.

You may want to open some previous versions of the design to see what change has been made or to revert back to the last good known state. Before saving a design or at least a known good version of a design, it may be a good idea to move the timeline to the end and perform a Modify > Compute All. This will make sure that recent changes have not broken other features in the timeline. I suspect this is how you could avoid this issue in the future. I note it is also possible to work in a direct modeling mode and not utilize the timeline at all.

I hope these suggestions help... Please let me know if you have any questions. I am happy to help.

Thanks,

Thank you for taking a look at my file.  I finally got the time to open a few earlier versions to see how far back the errors go, which is 2 revs to get a file without CAM problems.  I can not figure out what I did to cause the problems since I haven't worked on the parts that lost association in several revs.  I only made a form tool to get a quote on and I didn't reference anything to create it.  Anyway I hope I didn't waste too much of your time  with this, I really thought something weird had happened.
