DWG Output issues

I prefer to make all my drawings in autocad, I just like the extra control that I have there.  I'm having an issue with the output on fusion though, it only outputs the title and border.  I tried adding a dimension as well and that will also output but the actual part geometry is nowhere to be found.  All my layers are turned on in autocad and I cannot get anything.  Am I just doing something wrong?

Hi Eric,

From the name of your png it looks like you're using Draftsight, not AutoCAD. The views in a Fusion 360 Drawing are not basic lines/arcs/circles but objects similar to Model Documentation views created in AutoCAD. Non-Autodesk products do not appear to support these objects.

There have been some threads about this in the past:

https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/design-validate-document/exported-dwg-files-are-blank/m-p/6590250?nob...

https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/design-validate-document/how-to-export-fusion-360-drawing-files-into-...

So you're not doing anything wrong, these products just don't support our view geometry.  AutoCAD, AutoCAD LT, DWG TrueView (for viewing) will show these objects correctly.

Thanks,
Chris

Hmm, I tried searching but I didn't come up with any results.  Thank you for the links.  I am using draftsight and this is the first time that I have had any issues with DWG files in it.  I have to say, this is incredibly short sighted of autodesk.  This seems like such an easy part of the software to get right but somehow it was screwed up.  It sounds like that even people who do have proper autocad instead of draftsight still have issue with the output files and have to work around fusion360s shortcomings.
