If the computer community doesn't know what "archive" means to the whole world, they could at least create a new word that means  "deleted, destroyed, and further access not possible). I suggest the computer geeks use the new word "gonnnnn".

Hi @Anonymous,

Welcome to the Fusion 360 Community!

I saw your other post as well, but let's just post in this one for the thread's sake.

I'm assuming you are referring to when you right-click a project and select "Archive"? What this does is just makes it so project members can no longer access the project, existing content in the project will no longer be accessible to project members, no new content/activity can be added, and the project will no longer appear in the projects list.

You can reactivate the archived project by visiting your A360 hub here. This website is essentially your data panel. It is is where all of your files is stored on line and can be manually accessed through the web browser (and viewed!)

To reactivate the project, as soon as you visit A360 (the link above), you will see 4 options along the top (All, Owned by me, Shared by me, Archived). If you select Archived you can see your archived projects and then restore them (or fully delete them).

Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks,

One of my students accidentally archived one their projects that was created in a hub that I am admin for. Unfortunately, I don't have the ability to restore these projects (I see them in the Archive tab, but they are grayed out) and the student simply does not have an "archived" tab when they look for the project. If I can't restore an archived project that I didn't create, even if it is in a Hub that I am admin for, and neither can the person who created it, who can?

James,

I read your post. I have done that. When I go to my A360 site, the restored project is no longer owned by me, its creator. Do you know how I can regain admin for that project?

Eu tenho o mesmo problema! @James.Youmatz  @clief_castleton @Anonymous @edward_triplett

Even though I am the owner, creator and administrator of the file folder, I cannot access these files after archiving them.
When I try to restore them the following message appears: "You do not have permission to perform the operation". If I am the administrator then who would have access and permission to restore?
