AMD crashes since last update fusion 360 when in render mode

Hello,

I'm having a problem over here.

Since yesterdays update of Fusion 360 my AMD driver keeps crashing and fusion crashes next.

AMD specs: Fabrikant grafische kaart Powered by AMD
Grafische chipset AMD Radeon R7 M265 Series
Apparaat-id 6604
Leveranciers-ID 1002
Subsysteem-ID 8006
Leveranciers-id subsysteem 103C
Revisie-ID 00
Grafische-busfunctionaliteit PCI Express 3.0
Maximumbusinstelling PCI Express 2.0x4
BIOS-versie 015.046.000.021
BIOS-onderdeelnummer BR45785.00W
BIOS-datum 2014/10/26
Grootte geheugen 1024 MB
Geheugentype GDDR5
Kernklok in MHz 825 MHz
Geheugenklok in MHz 1000 MHz
Totale geheugenbandbreedte in GB/s 64,0 GB/s

I searched for updates for the driver, but didn't found any.

I must say, I unabled windows update center since 3 months because I hate the random updates taking ages.

When I switch to render mode, the program flashes, amd gives a warning it stopped working and is now restarted. But Fusion will keep crashed until eternity apparently.

I did not have this error before the fusion update yesterday.

The new update worked quite good until the afternoon, then trouble started.

Hi,

If I understand you correctly, this AMD crash issue only happens in Render workspace on your side and in modeling workspace Fusion is working fine. Is it correct?

Have you sent out any CER reports? If you did, would you please let us know in what email address you sent out the CER reports.

Thanks

Correct.

I don't get the dialog box for the error report. Since I have to close the application manually

Thanks. We will check with the team to see if what might be the potential cause for this.

BTW: does this happen at the moment when you switch to Render workspace? Or it happens when you does some specific workflows?

Hi, thijs_976,

Sorry for this trouble. Have you rebooted the machine to see if this issue can be reproduced repeatedly?

And since this looks like a GPU hardware crash happens first, maybe you can get latest AMD driver from

http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/desktop?os=Windows+7+-+64 and havea try.

Regards,

Gang

Hi,

One thing you can try is to switch to use DirectX 9 driver. This can be done by going to Fusion preference dialog ->General Tab -> Graphics driver. You need to restart Fusion to make the new driver to take effect. Please let us know if this works for you after you have a chance to try it.

Thanks
