While you are in sketch mode, hold down right mouse button and little buttons will pop up around your cursor.

Go down to "Sketch" and towards the left side is "Sketch Dimension".

I don't think you can add dimensions to a 3d sketch, anything above or below the active sketch plane is selectable with a dimension. One workaround might be to create constitution sketches on different planes and use points on those. Here sketch1 has 2 points constrained with dimensions used in sketch2 to snap end points to.

Wait. You can't dimension a 3D sketch? I can't even seem to add constraints. Is this a fact?

@SEIZMICdesign

Yes 3D sketches do NOT yet offer dimenions - that is a fact.

Dimensions best work in 2D sketches while in Alias you can use the length of a line as a somewhat dimension replacement.

But how you do something in Alias is radically different then you use a parametric modeler like Fusion.

Can you File>Export your *.f3d file to your local drive and then Attach it here to a Reply?

I prefer to make my 3D sketches as intersections of 2D sketches.

IIRC this can be done in SolidWorks.

OK, so by making planes?

No, not normally.

I prefer to use the BORN Technique

You can diamention a 3D sketch when you do it, not after.
