Opening .dwf files directly in browser (IIE or Chrome) with Windows 10

Hi,

I looked through related posts, but I didn't see one that applied to my situation.

I'm trying to open DWF files, located on one of our SharePoint servers, in Chrome. I'm running Windows 10 and Chrome 63.0.3239.84 (32-bit). I have ADR 14.0.0.177 installed, and I just installed the ADRBrowserAddon.msi.

But if I attempt to open a DWF file in Chrome, it downloads a copy of the file instead of opening it. Everything works fine in IE.

Does anyone have an idea why this isn't working?

Thanks for your help!

So that only works in Internet Explorer (not Chrome, Not Edge, not anything else).

In Win10 IE can be found (if installed) at Start Button>Windows Accessories

Right now our corporate standard is IE or Chrome, so I had not tried Edge. I just did, and it only gives me options of Save / Save as / Cancel, so it does not automatically open either. I don't have any other browsers installed.

Thanks!

Forgive me, but I stated it works in IE in Win10 only, as it does here for me.
I'm running the newest ADR version. But I'm not running or opening files from SharePoint if that matters.

Sorry, I read that as a question, not a statement.

Do you happen to know if there are any plans to add Chrome support in Windows 10?

Thank you very much for the help!

I've not heard any rumors or seen any documentation about that so far.

Given Autodesk Design Review is effectively in maintenance mode I'd be surprised to see any new features/functionality added. It was only updated to function on Windows 10 after the operating system changes made the old 2013 version unable to run properly at all
