Hi,

G'day.I would like to know regarding the functionality of comparing of two .dwg files. Can we achieve this by "Design Review" tool? and also can some one help me whether the comparison tool is a inbuilt functionality in AutoCAD or it is a external plugin that need to be registered ?

Thanks,

Chinna.

In addition,to the above message finally my goal is to compare the two drawing files(.dwg ) and extract the difference in them. I have seen one video in which user has performed by using the comparison tool which resides in Menu->plugin-> comparison tool from the autoCAD 2013 application. The final outcome of the video is to highlight the differences in .dwg files and additional .csv file is exported with differences.

Thanks,

Chinna.

the DWF file viewer offers no such abilities for dwg files.

Thanks Dean for the response.

But I could see from the link below Edwin.parakoso is suggesting to use the DWG compare plugin to compare the files. Is this solves my requirement ?

Just open the below link and check the Edwin.parakoso comments.

You are posting in the DESIGNREVIEW forum, a software that only reads DWF (that's an F in the name). You cannot install any add-ons you are reading about in it and it does not read DWG (a G in the name) files.

You are reading about tools for the software called AUTOCAD, which is designed to handle DWG (G in the name). You can do what your article says in there.

So, do you have AutoCAD and you are just in the wrong forum?
Or do you have the Design Review software, which is the wrong software for anything you are asking about or reading about?>
