Power BI Refresh Fails with Autodesk Data Exchange Connection

Hi everyone,

I’m using Autodesk Data Exchange with Power BI to visualize 3D model data. Everything works fine in Power BI Desktop, but when I publish the report to Power BI Service, the refresh fails.

The error message says:
Unable to determine the data source due to unknown functions. Query contains unknown function name: AutodeskDataExchange.Contents. This can happen if the gateway doesn’t have the extension enabled.

It looks like the Power BI Service or gateway can’t recognize the AutodeskDataExchange connector.

Does Autodesk officially support Power BI Service refresh for Data Exchange connections?
If yes, can someone please guide me on the correct setup or gateway configuration needed?

Hello @om_bhartiya ,

Refresh from PowerBI web is not yet supported. We are working with Microsoft to get out connector certified and then this feature will be supported. We cannot commit to a timeline, but we are actively working towards it.
