Can't find "Linked Source Revit File" in Power BI through Data Exchange

Hello there,

I'm encountering an issue with the "Linked Source Revit File" parameter within Power BI via Data Exchange.

Previously, after linking models in Revit and exporting them as a federated model using Data Exchange, I was able to find a parameter called "Linked Source Revit File." This parameter was incredibly useful as it identified the original Revit file for each element. This feature was highly anticipated, as the previous workaround involved creating project parameters across all categories in each model and populating them with a key to link elements to their source files.

Upon discovering this improvement, I developed several data-sharing workflows that relied on this parameter, and they were functioning correctly.

However, it now appears that this parameter is no longer available. I'm wondering if this is an isolated issue on my end or if the "Linked Source Revit File" parameter has been removed from the Data Exchange process.

Thank you for your time and assistance.

Best regards.

Hello @r_simoes,

We haven't removed this property. It seems our API's hit a regression. The team has started investigating. Hang in there!

Thanks and Best Regards,

Rakesh

Hello @rakesh.borse ,

My current data exchange, which merges three models, contains a total of 6650 elements. This seems unusual to me, as it's considerably less data than what I was working with a few weeks ago. Previously, the data exchange included structural rebars, formworks for concrete elements, light-steel framing elements, and the architectural model. While I don't recall the exact number of elements at that time, the Data Exchange, particularly the Linked Source Revit File property, was functioning as expected.

Hello @r_simoes

We have fixed the issue. Could you please check now? You should be getting the property ""Linked Source Revit File" now.

Please ignore my earlier comment, as after further investigation, we realised that our initial assessment was incorrect — the issue is not isolated to you only and was affecting others as well. Apologies for that.
