Hello Chris,
Yes, Revit Connector (a Revit Plugin) creates Exchange out of the live model, which may not be published to ACC, but only needs to be locally saved.
There other two major difference between Revit Connector (a Revit Plugin) and Data Exchange from ACC Docs:
-
- Data Exchange from ACC Docs: Exchange is created out of whole 3D View
- Revit Connector (a Revit Plugin): Exchange is created from a live 3D view but there are options to send only granular data based on Category filter. E.g create Exchange from category = Walls and Windows only.
-
- Data Exchange from ACC Docs: Auto-update of Exchange is available. That is the Exchange will get updated to newer version automatically as soon as the source Revit file is updated to newer version.
- Revit Connector (a Revit Plugin): No auto-update here. User will have to manually push the update based on their requirement.
Thanks and Best Regards,
