Protected operation not so

If an operation is protected, why does changing a tool number un generate and change the tool number?

This tool management and numbering drives me crazy with multiple operations on a part.

Tool renumbering is right next to useless, it increments based on operations rather than existing tool numbers.

Yup. And if it's "protected", you can still delete it. And yeah, the numbering and grouping is such a mess. Once you get over a couple operations in a file, it's such a clusterfudge

I agree that the tool number management could be improved immensely. And Seth, I agree that it shouldn't be able to be deleted if it's locked. On top of that, I also get random error pop-ups on protected toolpaths that lose the operation even when I'm simply orbiting the model.
