Are you using the stock post processor?

Could you share your file so we could see your toolpaths? I'm curious why it thinks you are trying to do five axis stuff....

File > Export > Save to local folder. Return to thread and attach the .f3d in your next reply

I guess I'm using the stock processor but not 100% sure.

I don't believe the stock post is setup for 4 axis motion. I can try to take a look at it tomorrow.

I'd suggest doing a search on this forum for "Tormach 4 axis post" or the like and you might find your answers

Thanks Libertymachine for the advice. Now I can post process the code. Tomorrow I'm going to run it and let's see what is going on 😉

The one from post 11 and 13 here works https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/computer-aided-machining-cam/cylindrical-engraving/td-p/6800056 the one in post 11 you can see the results.

@LibertyMachine The new one from here http://cam.autodesk.com/posts/  They have it set up so you can select what axis the A is on

rotaryTableAxis: "None", // None, X, Y, Z, -X, -Y, -Z

Just doing a screen cast now.

Just a couple of things before you use it to cut anything.

check on screen that the toolpaths look good and pathpilot does not through any errors.

Do a air test first to make sure it looks good.

If you have any problems with it please add screens shots of the problem detail of what the problem is, the more detail you can give of any problem makes life a bit easier to correct any problems.

Thank you Daniel for doing such a great job explaining the procedure.

I'm still straggling selecting the geometry in my test piece so I haven't run it yet.Need to watch more videos about. Hopefully I'll try this week and I'll let you know if I have any issues with the post processor.

BTW, what a beautiful part that you made in the video.

Thanks
