Setting up your Profile

These days, your online reputation is about much more than how many Facebook friends or Twitter followers you have. It’s also an important part of your professional life. Boosting your online presence can help you land your dream job, promotion, or project.

Make sure to complete your Autodesk Contributor Profile, a better way to showcase your expertise and the number of ways you’re contributing to Autodesk communities online, whether as an AU speaker, an Autodesk Knowledge Network (AKN) contributor, or in the Autodesk forums.

Building a strong profile is as easy as 1, 2, 3, 4.

  • Connect with your viewers. Make sure to include a picture of yourself for a personal touch, and let the reader know about your education, work history, and product strengths. Make sure to mention any hobbies, awards, or extracurricular activities that relate to your profession.
  • Be active! Create helpful content for other users, spend time answering posts and providing solutions, and get your name out there as someone who is helpful. This all shows up on your profile automatically, without effort from you!
  • Get involved – created Screencasts, host classes, and otherwise contribute to the community industry.
  • Link your social media. Take the time to add links to your LinkedIn, Facebook, and any blogs or other platforms you may contribute to.
