A beginner would be an understatement here. I am inching (in mm) my way through making my first design. I know already that I will be requiring some assistance with it.

I live in Florida, enjoy Home Automation, Energy Management. I am looking at purchasing a 3D Printer (ABS&PLA) to turn my Autodesk designed projects into something to hold and see my thoughts come alive. I will be 70 (next month) and challenged, as I have Vascular Dementia from a 2009 open heart surgery, which compromised my short term and long term memory, so this will be a challenge, and it takes a little longer to get things done, but they do get done.

Yesterday I loaded Autodesk Fusion 360 and as my initial project I saw a PVC female fitting on my desk, so that is what I am trying to duplicate. The picture of my progress is below. Still have a long way to go. I look forward to making cases for my outside electronic projects that will be impacted by the Florida weather.

Have a GREAT DAY everyone!!

Don

Hey Don,

If you can't afford a printer, you may consider sending your files to a print service. Search the internet for "3D print service" or "rapid prototype service". They'll print and ship your part for a fee.
