Hi everyone,

this time I will provide the update here for the 24th of June

Logged

  • I logged your issue @fridtjofZM5ME - thanks for that. I have seen what you are speaking about being brought to forums.autodesk.com after coming from email and logging in as it sometimes but not very regular or often happens to me too. We will keep you (and everyone) posted on the progression here
  • @A.Acheson - I saw your issue in regards to Safari vs. Android mobile. I also took this in, but just personally, from your screenshots, it seems your login on Android mobile is complete (see a blue circle with AA), and on Safari, it stays grey. Thus, the notifications are probably missing, and the page is behaving strangely. Nevertheless, I am just thinking out loud and putting a ticket in which we keep track of progress on this one.

Under Research

  • We are still researching the irregular and hard-to-reproduce sign-out issues across the Community. We are trying to get down to the core here, but it is hard to reproduce concretely, so please bear with us a bit longer (I have it sometimes without any apparent reason but also supporting the teams to get down to this).
  • Some of you reported that when visiting a public page, it is going to a login screen. The page trying to load and afterward brings you to the sign-in screen, which is not as intended and should not be seen as a mandatory login to consume content. The Community is accessible without being logged in. Also, this behavior is being investigated currently.

Thank you all for bringing the issues to our attention and providing us with your insights. For all of you, happy Friday, and afterward, a wonderful weekend!

Hi everyone,

this time I will provide the update here for the 1st of July

Logged

  • I logged your issue @ChrisRS. Thanks for that. To prevent spamming via PM, users, by default should only be able to send one PM to one user (also, as there are no group conversations through PM possible it is only 1:1)
  • I also logged your issue @ChrisRS on the PM restriction by sending it to get checked. But I have the feeling it can behave like that by trying to send to multiple recipients, which is not designed that way. Also, I had people encountering it sometimes by clicking various times (by accident) on the send button. Usually, if this message shows up, it should be fine again after 1 hour of not PMing, as this is spam prevention.
  • Also, regarding your feature enhancement request, I have logged in to look into the additional tab of new commented/voted ideas @ChrisRS . Thank you for that suggestion!

Under Research

  • I reached out to some of you by PM on Emoticons in the Code field; Brought to the forum top level after clicking on the email and regarding Safari; what I logged last week. Can you be so kind as to check your PMs as this would help massively progress? :slightly_smiling_face: Thank you!

Thank you all for bringing the issues to our attention and providing us with your insights. For all of you, happy Friday, and afterward, a wonderful (for some people in the world long) weekend!

Update July 14th, 2022

Future Improvement Consideration

  • Mobile WYSIWYG Editor limited the functionality of the browser. Reported by @A.Acheson
  • Idea searchability on boards by new comments/votes to ideas for users.
  • To prevent spamming via PM, users, by default should only be able to send one PM to one user. We have listed this as a future feature improvement. Reported by @ChrisRS

Not reproducible

  • Going to the forum from the notification email throws you to main forums.autodesk.com after logging in. Reported by @fridtjofZM5ME. If you should determine any steps or clues to reproduce this, please let us know and we will re-open this issue.
  • Issues logging in from mobile Safari. Reported by @A.Acheson

Important Note Reminder:

Update August 1, 2022

Under Research

  • We continue to receive reports of users getting logged out or being required to log in on public community pages but hard to reproduce this behavior. We are actively researching this as a priority to solve.

    • We are still researching the irregular and hard-to-reproduce sign-out issues across the Community.
This may be due to the Community seeing you have another account due to an auth token on your system/browser like your subscription or Autodesk account and then trying to use that to log you in but the auth token was expired due to length of time. We are trying to nail this down and resolve it.

News:
The future re-designed community issue reporting process is now under development and testing. This new re-designed process will also provide issue confirmations and status updates.

No new reported community issues.

    • We are still actively researching the irregular and hard-to-reproduce sign-out issues across the community.  It isn't easy to reproduce but several people experience logging out, including myself occasionally.
