Detail Components can be used in a lot of ways. It is easy to add them to families so as not to have to model everything. Use Detail Components in Sections, that is an easy fix.
Detailing in Floor Plans can save time and model weight.

Here is the link to the Community Conversation, where I compare file sizes based on how many faces the model has.

Dynamo graph for pinning all Revit links in a model. It requires the Orchid package; the Element.Pin node does all the work. The attached file was made for Revit 2022.1.3 (Dynamo 2-12-1). Other versions may need to have the node from the Orchid package for that version substituted.

I just discovered a native node that will pin or unpin elements. If you do not want to install Orchid, or just prefer native nodes when they exist, then this graph may be your cup of tea. As a bonus, the Boolean node can be set to True to pin the elements or False to Unpin the elements.
It is Dynamo Player friendly - you can toggle the Boolean input and will see a list of processed links as output.
Created in Dynamo 2.12.1 for Revit 2022.1.3.

We had more fun today with the chat running. I enjoyed the banter and comments. Let's do that every time.
