Job Opening - Miscellaneous Steel Detailer with Advance Steel or Inventor

Atlantic Steel Detailing Services, LLC in Salem, NH is expanding our Miscellaneous Steel Detailing department. We are looking for local candidates in the Boston area (Sorry, we are not in the position to relocate someone, have someone telecommute, or provide sponsorship of visas). Candidates should have 1+ years of experience with Advance Steel, but we are willing to train if someone who has recent and strong knowledge of 3D modeling in AutoCAD or AutoDesk Inventor.

As a Miscellaneous Steel Detailer, you will be responsible for 3D modeling items such as Stairs, Rails, Ships Ladders, and other various steel items. We are looking for an independent, self-starting, go-getter, and quick learner to join our team. Candidates should have flexibility to learn a new software.

Requirements:

  • At least 1+ years of recent 3D Modeling experience in Advance Steel or proven success with 3D Modeling in AutoCAD or Inventor
  • Ability to work in our Salem, NH office, relocation is not available
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the US, sorry we are not able to sponsor

Responsibilities include:

  • Create 3D models utilizing Advance Steel from architectural and structural contract drawings and/or from specifications.
  • Prepare & modify existing models and drawings.
  • Prepare assembly drawings as needed.
  • Produce accurate shop drawings for fabrication.
  • Work with checking department to learn requirements and adjust Models and drawings accordingly.
