More granular analysis results for Forma 3D Sketch buildings

We're excited to announce that 3D Sketch buildings now provide richer data to Forma analyses, enabling more granular results for better outcomes.

With this change, 3D Sketch buildings will classify their exterior shell geometries as walls, floors, or roofs - even when the design features tilted walls or angled roofs!

As a result, analyses like Sun Hours, Daylight Potential, and Solar Energy will break out their results in the right panel into facades and roofs, providing a deeper look at the outcomes of the design. Previously, the right panel would classify 3D Sketch geometry as simply "Other."

In addition, analyses that feature surface selection workflows - like Daylight Potential - will be able to select individual surfaces of 3D Sketch building shells, bringing these elements into better alignment with other Forma building types.

To take advantage of this improvement, refresh your Forma app! Existing 3D Sketch buildings will need to be edited and re-analyzed, while new buildings will get this richer data automatically.
